We get asked often about visiting our kennel. Sometimes it is tricky to balance our desire to accommodate visitors while maintaining the safety and health of our dogs/puppies. We understand your excitement but until you take your puppy home, we are responsible and the puppy’s health is our priority.
We do not allow visitors to our kennel and puppy room while un-vaccinated puppies are on the premises. No exceptions. We do not want any diseases carried to the puppies or premises.
Diseases
We are very careful about trying to prevent the transmission of diseases to them. We take every precaution that we can to make sure that our puppies are not exposed to any kinds of disease that you may carry on your shoes or even on your hands. These diseases can be picked up and carried on your shoes for days anywhere a dog has been; parks, pet stores, rest stops, parking lots…anywhere.
Stress Factor
Also, it is extremely stressful for the mom to have strangers visit when she is caring for her new litter. This in turn will put stress on the puppies. Remember, you are one of many people who are getting a puppy, not including everyone else who are “just looking.” If we allow everyone to visit with the new pups, the mom would be so stressed from being over protective of her puppies, and the puppies could be potentially exposed to disease.
We hope that all of our families have the comfort of knowing that their puppies have the best possible care they can get.
As a Responsible Pawrent & Breeder
It is really not advisable to accept visitors to their kennel just to show and prove to the buyer that their premises is squeaky clean and fresh smelling . Having a squeaky clean and fresh smelling area is practically normal and necessary especially if the puppies are located near their dining area or living area (which is not always the case according to someone who sent us an email recently 😬 eeek!).
This also doesn’t prove and guarantee that all their puppies in that premises are healthy for the fact that they are accepting numbers of visitors day by day. We treat our puppies like a baby. Would you let everyone or anybody touch your baby at early age?
Meeting the Puppy
As for us, you can visit or see the puppy in a different location by appointment. For security purposes, we will not post the address publicly. We will provide you the address once you are approved as the new owner of the puppy either via email or text.
Health Concerns
As for the health, you are free to call our veterinarian to ask about the puppy’s history and our history when it comes to practicing strict vaccination and deworming schedule. We just ask that you respect our policy. It is in the best interest of our puppies and yours.
